The following is an article by business journalist David O’Neill, who has worked with the industry for nearly two decades and who is currently working on a book about the industry.
For a few years I had a passion for the craft, and was a huge fan of all the craft coffee roasters in the UK.
I also love the craft beer scene in the US and Canada.
But I had to get serious about my craft coffee career, because there was no place to go.
That was until I met a woman who has spent her life making coffee, baking cakes and doing everything else in between.
“I’ve been thinking about doing a book for a while,” she said.
We were sitting at the bar of a pub in the West End, chatting about the best things in coffee.
My first thought was: “Why don’t we make this book?”
“She’s not the most well-known of the craft roasters, but she has some incredible stories to tell,” I said.
So we set about making a book.
David’s book has just been published in the United Kingdom.
He’s a regular coffee and pastry writer for the BBC, and his first book, which he called The Coffee Roaster’s Guide to Making Coffee, sold more than 3,000 copies in its first year.
“It was a really exciting moment, but also quite a challenge, because the book has such a strong flavour,” he told Business Insider.
“You have to create something very specific, and not too generic.”
The book is very focused on the coffee industry and the challenges that roasters face, but I also wanted to create a bit of history of the industry.
“The book also covers the history of coffee roasting, from when roasters started roasting coffee in the 1700s, to when roasteries began to move away from roasting to making their own coffee.
David said the book is the result of a long journey, starting in London, and going all the way up to New Zealand.
The first coffee shop in the world, The Coffeehouse, opened in 1853 in Hackney, and in 1858 opened its first shop in Wellington.
Then, in the early 1900s, the coffee roasterry boom began in the U.S. and Britain, with roasters like John Dewey opening their own shops in New York and London.”
David has been making coffee for 40 years, but the last book he wrote, The Roast and The Cook, was published in 2009. “
That started as an exercise in what I thought was important.”

What do you do for a living?
“My job is as a commercial photographer,” he said.
“I take pictures of coffee, cakes and cakes of all sorts of different flavours, and make my living from it.”
That means a lot of time away from my family, so I’m not going to be as productive as I would be if I had the opportunity to do something like that.
“David started working in the coffee business when he was a kid in a shop near his home in London.
And now he’s one of the most successful coffee roakers in the country, with more than 100 coffee shops in the capital.”
There are very few places where you can get the kind of quality of quality coffee that I do in the city,” he added.”
My shop is not only a cafe, but it’s also a coffee bar, which means that it has the same quality as other coffee bars.
“And it has great staff, which is very important for a coffee shop.”
