The Last Wars is set to release on December 15, 2017, just as the film’s release date for the 2016 reboot has come and gone.
However, as of today, Disney has only confirmed that the film will not release on the anniversary of the first film’s December 15th release date.
The Disney website still lists the film as a new release on its December 20th, 2017 calendar, however the date is now listed as December 20, 2017 instead of December 15.
While this means that the release date of the film is not listed, it does mean that fans will have to wait a few more days to see it.
With this information in mind, here are the official dates for the film, along with the official release dates for other Disney-owned films in the calendar:Disney Star Wars Celebration 2018: December 21, 2019Disney Star War: Episode VII – The Force Awakens: December 17, 2020Disney Princesses of the Galaxy: March 10, 2021Disney Pixar’s Inside Out: November 4, 2021A list of the Disney films that will not be released on the Disney Anniversary dates can be found below.
This is not the first time that Disney has made this announcement regarding Star Wars and the Anniversary dates.
Disney also confirmed that Star Wars Episode VII would be released December 15 this year, but it was delayed due to a copyright dispute with Warner Bros.
The Last Jedi was a blockbuster movie that earned more than $1.7 billion worldwide.
The film also had an incredibly high box office total, but the film was criticized for its use of dark tones, the inclusion of a non-canon character, and a plot that left out important elements of the story.
The plot of the movie was later proven to be a total lie and, in 2019, Disney released a sequel that was far less controversial.
This sequel, The Force Unleashed: The Complete Saga, did not feature a dark tone, however, it did feature new character Finn and a new villain, Kylo Ren.
